Wellness is the act of practicing healthy habits everyday – habits that help us feel better physically and mentally. Wellness habits can come in many forms and can make the difference between surviving and getting by, to thriving and feeling our best. That’s why NWPP supports participants in managing and caring for their whole health by offering several no cost wellness programs.

Whole health is more than just our physical health.

The World Health Organization (WHO), defines overall health as being “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” Several key areas of your lifestyle are considered dimensions of overall wellness, including social connectedness, exercise, nutrition, sleep, and mindfulness. Each has an impact on your physical and mental health. By making simple and healthy small choices daily in these areas, you’ll be well on your way towards feeling your best. 

NWPP offers participants several wellness programs at no-cost to you, in addition to your comprehensive medical benefits. These confidential programs will help you find ways to manage life’s stressors, get support and resources on a variety of topics, access care from wherever you are, and start leading a life of whole health.

Uprise Health MAP

Available to all active and retiree participants and their families, this Member Assistance Program can offer you stress and mental health support from finding a therapist, to getting legal or financial advice, to accessing resources designed to reduce your stress.
